Welcome to the Major County Historical Society Website. We are a group of people dedicated to preserving our great Major County History as well as celebrating the way of life and past farming practices of our ancestors.
We are a privately owned entity, governed by an 11 member board, which meets regularly the 3rd Tuesday of each month. These meetings are open to the public. We are a 501C3 and receive no federal, state, or county funding. The complex and farm is funded by donations and volunteer labor. The museum accepts most donated items, mainly from Major County Area.
